PRESENTATION FOR WORKING ON A SHIP – MANDATORY PRESENCE
The presentation is of key significance in the application process for every candidate because it’s centralized informing of everything that is important to be known before you decide to apply to work on a ship. All the important segments of the application process are covered with it, the preliminary interview with us, the interview with the recruitment managers from the cruise companies, and the job on the ship itself.
On this presentation is being discussed about the job positions, the salaries, the hierarchical setting in performing the duties, or simply said, HOW IT IS TO LIVE AND WORK ON THESE LUXURIOUS SHIPS?
What are the expectations of the companies and their requirements?
After the presentation, you get clear picture and answers to many questions, among which most important are: HOW MUCH YOU ARE MOTIVATED

The presentations in the countries where Kouzon have offices are held once per week in the office, and for all international applicants, we have an online presentation (You will receive via e-mail, our corporate policy for recruitment, and all important information during the conversation with our recruiters who will inform you for all the details. You will be kindly asked to confirm and sign that you understood and fully agree with our recruitment process).
In Macedonia, the presentation takes place at the Kouzon office in Skopje at Bul. Kliment Ohridski 58, every Tuesday at 11:00. No previous announcement is required.
After the presentation, you can apply right away. To apply, you need
- The CV in English.
- 2 photos (passport size)
- Recommendation letters from previous employers (if you possess).
With the application, itself starts the second step – SELECTING.
THE PRELIMINARY INTERVIEW
The preliminary interview is conducted in the application process and has a purpose of checking the knowledge and the qualification of every candidate that has a certain desire to work on a certain position.
On the preliminary interview are being checked all the aspects important for the selection process like technical knowledge, language knowledge, body language, appearance, etc.
The interview is important and needs to be approached seriously and professionally.
The Kouzon recruiter determines a position for which the candidate will be approved to apply to work on a ship.
If you are not qualified for the position for which you’d like to apply you will be given guidelines how (and in what) you need to improve your knowledge and will be invited to apply again for the same position or some other position after a certain period.
After receiving position/guidelines, you proceed to the next step, TRAINING.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING
The training is conducted in interest and by request of the candidates – applicants for jobs on the ship.
Basically, it’s an activity during which are being transferred all important moments about
- Organization of the documents for the main interview with the representatives from the Cruise Company, way, and form for the preparation of professional CV, form for recommendation letters, etc.
- Getting familiar with the international standards in the hospitality industry with the accent on “Customer Service.”
- Covering different topics and content in English in this area and preparation of the candidate for an interview with the potential employer.
- TEST – to determine the level how much the training material have been mastered in the area in which you are applying.
The training contains information that can be used for other interviews as well, the skills that are gained are universal. It should be taken seriously, although it’s not a guarantee that you will be invited for an interview with the representatives from a cruise company or that you will pass the interview with them. The guarantee comes from you if you will prepare enough or not. After the training, each candidate should find enough time for additional self-education.
After the completed training, new preliminary interviews will follow in order to control the candidates’ progress. ONLY those who are 100% ready to present themselves in front of the potential employers will be invited for the main interview with the representative from the cruise companies.
MAIN INTERVIEW – with Recruiting managers from Cruise line Companies
CAUTION: Only the representatives from the cruise companies (and nobody else) can promise or assign job that the candidate will get to work on certain cruise company.
IMPORTANT: Never and under no circumstances, Kouzon (or any of the Kouzon employees) can promise a job to the candidate without passing an interview with the representative from the cruise company. The job position on which the candidate will work is approved and assigned by the representative from the cruise company.
The main interview is usually organized in Skopje, on which every selected candidate personally via the interview in front of the recruiters from the cruise company is presenting the qualifications and the desire to work on a ship, expressing the vision to build a career and to acquire new knowledge and skills.
Only the hiring manager from the cruise company has the rights to assign a job and to approve the employment of that candidate at the cruise company
IMPORTANT: Kouzon is the official representative of many cruise companies, and the established rules are according to the employment processes approved by those companies.
